Distribution of ration to migrant workers from Jharkhand during Covid-19

16 people migrated from Bastat, Boya, Gondai, Kulandrigadi villages of Jharkhand State and they are working as contract labours under a contractor for APSPDCL work. They fit the transformers at agricultural wells . They are staying at Ipperu Village of Kuderu Mandal, Anantapur District. In lockdown situation of Covid-19 the contractor stopped the work and the migrants have no work no pay from 22nd March, 2020. Hence, A.F. Ecology Center distributed the ration to the migrants on 13.04.2020 by Peddakka- GSMS Conenor, Yerrappa-GSMS Co-Convenor of Ipperu Village. Ramanjaneyulu-STO , Nanji Reddy-Mandal Team Leader, Kuderu and Sujatha from PME wing and 5 members of villagers from Ipperu were participated in the programme. An awareness programme on Covid-19 was conducted for migrants.
We are thinking that, migrants need further support linking with Village Secretary, Anganvadi worker and Mandal Revenue Authorities.

AF team distributed ration kits and face masks to 30 migrants labour from Rajasthan & Bihar and local poor in Kalyandurg town on 13-04-2020

On 13-04-2020, AF team distributed ration kits and face masks to 30 members in Kalyandurg town. Originally they are belongs to Rajasthan and Bihar States. They are wage workers (making fabric toys), they don’t have Govt. ration card. Due to lockdown since 1 one month they are unable to work outside. Under the guidance of Dr.Y.V.Malla Reddy and financial support from APPI they have been provided 3 weeks month Ration kits (Rice, Wheat, Dal, Oil, sugar, salt, soaps etc ) and distributed face masks to each of  them. Mr. Bhaskar Babu, Ms Rizwana, Ms. Sujatha, Mr. Deepankar and Mr. Vijaya Kumar of AF EC has been participated in distribution process.
